Day One – Enjoy a visit to the Kauri Museum before driving to Waipu and taking the ‘scenic’ route back via Langs Beach and Mangawhai. Indulge in a chocolate tasting & tour at Bennetts Chocolates before dinner at the lodge in the evening.
Day Two – Discover Goat Island with a visit to the marine laboratory and a trip on the glass bottom boat. In the afternoon, stroll charming Matakana Village before dinner in the early evening.
Day Three – Historic Puhoi beckons with a visit to the famous cheese factory. Enjoy a tour and a tasting before strolling the village. The picturesque Sullivans Bay is perfect for a photo stop, and we visit the sculpture trail and stop for a honey tasting in the afternoon.
Day Four – Savour the world class wines of the Matakana region with a boutique wine tour. Lunch amongst the vines with an antipasto platter and enjoy a wine tasting. Add on an optional oyster farm tour.
Day Five – Visit stunning Omaio garden and enjoy morning tea with green finger & creator, Liz Morrow. Afterwards, stop in a Morris & James pottery factory, thensoak up the coastal views over lunch, beach-side, at Snells Beach. In the afternoon, stroll the stunning Brick Bay sculpture trail before transferring to the airport.

Anna Didsbury, Daughter of owners Richard & Christine Didsbury, manages the creative team both in The Glass House restaurant and the stunning sculpture trail that surrounds the vineyard. Anna’s husband Dan operates the magnificent Matakana cinemas.
